Which German course is right for me?
1:1 lessons or a small group? The best German course is not the same for everyone. What matters are your goal, schedule, exam date, budget and how much free speaking practice you need.

1:1 or small group: what fits your learning goal better?
Both course formats can work very well. They simply solve different problems.
Individual lessons
Especially useful if you need to work very specifically.
All attention is focused on your learning level, your errors, pronunciation and personal goals. Topics, pace and appointments can be tailored more closely to you.
Particularly suitable for: a tight exam date, an imminent job start, specialist language, particular professional requirements or very specific weaknesses.
1:1 is more expensive per lesson unit, however, and offers less interaction with different conversation partners.
Small group
Especially useful if you want to use the language actively with other people.
Dialogues, role plays, discussions and spontaneous reactions arise more naturally with several learners. At the same time, a group of no more than 6 people remains small enough for questions, feedback and your own speaking time.
Particularly suitable for: regular intensive learning, free speaking, exam preparation and if you are looking for better value for money than 1:1 tuition.
The learning pace is more closely tied to the group and the teacher's attention is shared.
Which course is better for telc or Goethe?
If your exam date is very close or individual exam sections are clearly weaker, 1:1 tuition can be especially targeted. If you have enough preparation time, the small group offers a strong advantage: you have to speak freely, listen, respond, express an opinion and communicate with different conversation partners.
Five questions to help you find the right course
1. How close is your goal?
If your exam, job start or move is coming up very soon, you may need a more individualised pace.
2. Do you need specialist language?
Very specific content from medicine, law, technology or your profession can be incorporated particularly precisely in 1:1 tuition.
3. Do you need to speak freely?
If spontaneous conversations, expressing opinions and responding to others are your difficulty, a small group is particularly valuable.
4. How flexible do you need to be?
Fixed course times provide structure. If your schedule varies considerably, 1:1 tuition can be more flexible.
5. What budget suits you?
A small group shares the tuition costs among several participants while remaining personal with a maximum of 6 people.
Still unsure?
Then the decision does not have to be final. A group course can be supplemented with occasional 1:1 lessons if needed.
The best course is the one that solves your actual problem.
A more expensive individual course is not automatically better. A group is not automatically less individual. What matters is whether the course format, learning rhythm and goal fit together.
Small groups of up to 6 people
For regular intensive training, free communication, a fixed learning structure and exam preparation.

1:1 or small group?
Is 1:1 tuition always better?
No. It is especially individual and flexible. A small group, however, offers real conversational dynamics and different conversation partners.
When should I choose 1:1 tuition?
Especially when you are under strong time pressure, have very specific content needs or want to work specifically on particular weaknesses.
When is a small group more suitable?
When you want to speak, respond and discuss regularly while keeping the price below individual 1:1 tuition.
Can I combine both formats?
Yes. The group course can form the foundation and be supplemented with individual 1:1 lessons if needed.
You do not have to guess the right course format on your own.
If you tell me your level, goal and possible exam date, I can tell you which course path makes sense.
