Learn German without compulsory homework – because the review is already built into the lessons.
Homework can help with learning. This intensive model deliberately does not rely on compulsory homework, however: the essential review and application take place directly in live lessons five days a week.
Short answer
You can make progress in German without compulsory homework when practice, revision and active use take place during the live lesson.
Additional materials are available, but success should not depend on hours of homework every evening.
Why is a small group particularly helpful?
Small groups make it easier to ask questions, correct mistakes straight away and practise new structures. In our live classes with 3–6 participants, there is more room for this than in larger groups.
- Working adults have limited time after class.
- Important review happens during the lesson.
- Learning remains compatible with daily life.
Comparison
| Aspect | General | At Deutsch Intensivkurs |
|---|---|---|
| Group size | Often more learners | 3–6 participants |
| Participation | Often less individual speaking time | More opportunities for speaking and feedback |
| Adaptation | Less flexibility | Topics can be adapted more easily |
Who benefits most from this approach?
This approach is especially relevant if you are learning German alongside work, for daily life or for a telc or Goethe exam. Consistent progress is more important than short-lived test performance.
